Marco’s Pizza has joined forces with prominent franchising veteran Anil Yadav to expand the franchise by 170 stores throughout California. Multiple Marco’s Pizza locations are planned for the Bakersfield, Chico-Redding, East Bay, Eureka, Fremont, Fresno, Lancaster-Palmdale, Modesto, Monterey, Sacramento, Salinas, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, Santa Clarita, Santa Rosa, Simi Valley, and Stockton areas.

Yadav, a resident of Sunol, already owns 155 Jack in the Box and 26 Denny’s restaurants in California and Texas. He is Jack in the Box’s largest franchisee and owns one of the largest privately held franchise companies in the country, employing more than 4,000 people.

“The addition of Anil Yadav as an area representative is huge for Marco’s Pizza and we are thrilled about the partnership,” says Marco’s president and CEO Jack Butorac. “Not only will Anil’s stores nearly double the current size of our franchise, his involvement with Marco’s Pizza is a testament to the quality of our products and our business model.”

Yadav was introduced to the Marco’s Pizza brand by his business partner, Deepak Gupta. Yadav cited Marco’s area representative (AR) program and brand dedication as key factors in the decision to broaden his franchise portfolio.

“Marco’s offers high-quality pizza at a great value and the company leadership is committed to maintaining that quality, which is important,” Yadav says. “Plus, the Marco’s Pizza AR program is an ideal structure for investors and franchisees who want to be part of a growing concept with the leadership of experienced and proven master-franchisees. The economic impact that Marco’s expansion will have on the region is significant.”

Yadav plans to begin opening his first Marco’s Pizza locations before the end of the year. There are currently two Marco’s stores in California, in Livermore and Ceres.
