Maui Wowi Hawaiian announced its newest Maui Wowi Hawaiian and Doc Popcorn co-marketing location at The Lakes Mall in Muskegon, Michigan. Jeff and Corinne Fortenbacher, owners and operators of the Maui Wowi Hawaiian, have been chosen to be a part of the nationwide co-marketing pilot program to test the concept across Maui Wowi Hawaiian’s varied business models.

Earlier this year, Maui Wowi Hawaiian and Doc Popcorn, a Boulder, Colorado–based retailer and producer of all-natural flavored popcorn, signed a national co-marketing agreement to test the concept throughout the Maui Wowi Hawaiian franchise system.

“We are thrilled that the Fortenbachers are helping us roll out the co-marketing concept in Michigan,” says Erin Hicks, executive vice president of Maui Wowi Hawaiian. “As our most seasoned operators, the Fortenbachers have been very instrumental in developing many of our programs in the past, and we are ecstatic that they have chosen to take this journey with us.”

“It is vital in this current economy to find creative ways to help operators leverage their existing infrastructure to do more,” says Rob Israel, co-founder and CEO of Doc Popcorn. “The initial data from these co-marketing opportunities is very positive and we are confident we will see more exciting results through our continued collaboration with Maui Wowi Hawaiian.”
