Maui Wowi Hawaiian, the Hawaiian coffee and smoothie company, opened its newest East Coast location in Towson, located in Baltimore County, Maryland. Franchisees Mike and Amanda Pyne have been successful Maui Wowi mobile cart operators since 2011 and look forward to expanding their empire with a fixed store location.

“As a Towson native and resident, I’m so proud to expand the Aloha spirit further into Baltimore,” says Mike Pyne. “We’re now able to bring the area a taste of Hawaii throughout the week in addition to our growing number of local festivals, fundraisers, and catered events.”

With over 30 years of business success, Maui Wowi Hawaiian offers franchisees the tools to make the business their own with the choice of a stand-alone store, fixed kiosk location, and mobile event cart. The Pynes enjoy the flexibility of the mobile unit option and have gained experience as well as a growing fan base. Over the past two years, they have worked events such as the Baltimore Grand Prix, fundraisers for Pets on Wheels and John Hopkins Children’s Center, and the Preakness Celebration Balloon Festival. Now expanding their empire, their new store will offer the full menu of blended gluten-free smoothies, including flavors such as Mango Orange, Strawberry, and Black Raspberry. It will also feature healthy snack items, baked treats, and espresso drinks made with Hawaiian espresso beans.

“The Pynes are a great example of the scalability and growth opportunities that our unique business models have to offer,” says Mike Weinberger, CEO of Maui Wowi Hawaiian. “It is always exciting to see our franchisees find success with the brand, and we look forward to continuing our East Coast expansion.”
