McAlister’s Rings in Holidays with Social Media Contest

McAlister’s Deli, a leading fast casual restaurant, is ringing in the holidays and engaging its fans via a creative social media contest to name “The Penguin,” the brand’s holiday gift card mascot. The contest gives customers the chance to win not only bragging rights, but also $1,500 in prizes.

The “Name Our Gift Card Mascot” contest runs through December 19. Guests can snap a photo of “the penguin” found in various promotional materials in McAlister’s Deli restaurants and submit it via Instagram with their preferred name for the penguin, along with the tags @McAlistersDeli and #givedelicious. Submissions will automatically be shared via the McAlister’s Deli Tea Freaks Facebook app. The winner will have a choice of two grand prizes worth $1,500: a personal tablet and $500 McAlister’s gift card or a $1,000 scholarship check and $500 McAlister’s gift card.

McAlister’s Deli is also encouraging its customers to “Give Delicious” this holiday season with its new gift card incentives at participating McAlister’s Deli locations. Guests who purchase $25 in gift cards receive a $5 voucher to use during their next visit. Guests can get a $10 voucher with the purchase of $50 in gift cards. Gift cards are available in denominations of $5 and more and can be purchased in-store or online and can be redeemed at any of the more than 310 McAlister’s Deli locations across the United States.
