McDonald’s China released the following statement:

“McDonald’s China notes with satisfaction the official declaration by the
Guangdong Labor Authority that our company has been found in compliance
with the relevant labor laws and that our interpretation of those laws has
been correct.

McDonald’s China also appreciates the way in which the Guangdong Labor
Authority has helped to bring clarity to the labor laws. We note the
comments by the Labor Authority that the China labor market is changing at
a rapid pace and that labor laws will have to evolve accordingly. As a
responsible employer in China we stand ready to play our part in that
process.

Our McDonald’s Crew and Managers are our most important assets and we
always seek ways to ensure that we comply completely with all the laws
related to their employment.”
