Micros Systems, a provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce the implementation of its cloud-based Micros Simphony and Micros myinventory by Canadian-based restaurant company Extreme Brandz.

The Simphony and myinventory installation includes more than 350 quick-service restaurants throughout North America and international under the names Extreme Pita, Mucho Burrito, Purblendz, and Via Cibo.

Extreme Pita was founded in 1997 with the opening of its first Extreme Pita Restaurant in Waterloo Ontario, Canada.

Extreme Brandz was founded in 2006 with the opening of Mucho Burrito. Since then, the franchise has flourished, necessitating Extreme Brandz to standardize on an advanced point-of-sale solution that can facilitate enterprise management and reporting.

Micros Simphony is a cloud-based, enterprise-enabled point-of-sale solution for the hospitality industry. The integrated system links POS transactions and back-office functions, allowing enhanced business management, increased employee productivity, and greater customer satisfaction.

Micros Simphony offers a flexible configuration that can operate in a single location or thousands of locations across brands and continents. This feature made Micros Simphony the perfect choice for Extreme Brandz.

Micros Simphony also provides the tools and integration necessary to allow Extreme Brandz to focus on Web-based revenue growth.

“Micros Simphony has allowed us to accelerate our restaurant development opening plans,” says Mark Cunningham, vice president of global business development for Extreme Brandz. “With access to real-time enterprise data, we can expand rapidly due to increased revenues and cost controls that are provided by Micros Simphony and Micros myinventory.”

Mark Scott, vice president of Micros Canada, says, “We are pleased to partner with such an innovative and forward-thinking company. The cloud-based Micros Simphony solution, combined with Micros’ direct global support network, ensures that the Extreme Brandz technology partnership with Micros will support its international expansion.”
