Multiconcept restaurant operator Concord Hospitality migrated its line of business applications and core network applications for Applebee’s, Famous Dave’s, and Village Inn franchises into the Decision Logic cloud environment.

“Through the years, Decision Logic has helped us operate efficiently to lower labor and food costs,” says John Gabel, Concord vice president and chief financial officer. “With the cloud-based environment they now help improve the efficiency of our Information Technology resources. Concord can continue to grow without being concerned about internal network capacity.”

Within the cloud environment, Concord’s main application and data is hosted and managed by Decision Logic in a company-run state-of-the-art data center. “With this approach, Concord Hospitality has no hardware investment and no burden on their IT resources,” says Jim Barber, Decision Logic’s chief technology officer. “We will handle all deployment, maintenance and product updates with 99.99 percent uptime.”

Decision Logic recently upgraded and re-architected its data center to the cloud-based environment. This new approach enables multiconcept and multistore restaurant groups to make the best use of their server hardware investments by consolidating multiple server roles as separate virtual machines. Restaurant operators will be able to achieve the following benefits: zero burden on IT Resources; low cost of ownership; no capital expense required; short deployment time and automated updates; and high availability.
