New Cowboy Chicken Store First with Drive-Thru

Cowboy Chicken-Wood Fire Rotisserie, the nine-unit Dallas-based fast casual brand, announced its ninth restaurant is now open in Schafer Plaza at Mustang Crossing at Highway 80 and FM 548, in Forney, Texas, and boasts the first Cowboy Chicken with a drive-thru. This new 2600 square foot Cowboy Chicken restaurant in Forney is the fourth restaurant for franchisee, Vesta Restaurant Group, in Dallas Fort Worth. Like all Cowboy Chicken locations, Forney features the same chicken cooked over a wood burning fire like they’ve been cookin’ for more than 30 years and hired 25 crew members from the local community.

The new Cowboy Chicken location in Forney will celebrate its Grand Opening in December with one lucky winner of free chicken for a year. Aaron “Moose” Darcangelo, a two year veteran of Cowboy Chicken, is general manager. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and features a comfortable dining room with seating for 85, a patio as well as the first drive-thru for the Cowboy Chicken brand, for convenience as well as catering, delivery, and take-out.

“We are excited to introduce the Forney community to come try our signature wood fired chicken,” says Robert Andersen, president, Vesta Restaurant Group, Cowboy Chicken franchisee. “We encourage guests to try our new drive-thru during the busy holiday season for the perfect lunch or dinner on the go.”

For more than 30 years, the “down home Cowboys” at Cowboy Chicken have been cooking all-natural chicken over a wood burning fire, and guests of Forney will enjoy the same wood-fired rotisserie chicken along with 17 different fresh homemade sides. Since its humble beginnings in 1981, Cowboy Chicken has created the popular Twice-Baked "Potaters". Other long time favorites are the Cowboy Chicken Enchiladas full of all white meat rotisserie chicken and the Chicken salad sandwiches. Homemade Southern Blackberry Cobbler or Peach Cobbler finishes off any Cowboy meal and, both the award-winning Chicken Enchiladas and homemade Cobbler have been on the menu since Cowboy's inception.

Cowboy Chicken in Forney features healthy, fresh salads and sandwiches, grilled skinless chicken breast, and nutritious sides such as seasonal fruit, baked Sweet Potato, Green Beans, and Campfire Veggies, which can all be ordered online. Online ordering is available for lunch and dinner, take-out, home delivery, and catering services.
