Mimi’s Cafe will celebrate the grand reopening of its Costa Mesa restaurant on Thursday, January 29 with a “Meet Me at Mimi’s” event that will be kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony and speech by Mayor Allan R. Mansoor at 10:30 a.m.

More than $3,000 worth of free gift cards will be presented to the first 75 guests in line. Local Mimi’s Cafe fans are invited to come experience the redesigned restaurant and sample Mimi’s Cafe’s new “Just Enough” lunch menu items starting at $5.99 and “Comfort Classics” prepared fresh daily from scratch.

“Our Costa Mesa location is a prime example of how we are evolving to meet consumer demand by offering the best dining experience possible with modern ambiance and value,” says Tim Pulido, president of Mimi’s Cafe. “We’ve been headquartered in Southern California for 30 years, and we are grateful to the Costa Mesa community for being a part of our history and growth.”

The Costa Mesa location is one of the first among Mimi’s Cafe’s 141 locations to feature the newly updated décor, which is being rolled out nationally. The design also includes a full-service bar with specialty drinks including the Mimitini and Fresh Squeezed Margaritas.

As part of the Costa Mesa official reopening, Mimi’s Cafe staff will present guests with complimentary appetizer and dessert cards throughout the day.

The Costa Mesa Mimi’s Cafe is located at 1835 Newport Blvd., and the restaurant’s regular hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
