Newk’s Eatery’s, the 61-unit casual restaurant concept, expanded its menu to include three comfort food entrées available through the first week of January. The new limited-time menu offerings—Five Cheese Grilled Cheese, Turkey Cranberry Sandwich, and Pimiento Cheese Pizza—come just in time for the holidays and will roll out company-wide.

The oven-baked Five Cheese Grilled Cheese is layered with Havarti, Gruyere, Monterey Jack, Gouda, and Cheddar, with the additional option to add a sprinkle of bacon bits.

A nod to Thanksgiving classics, the hot Turkey Cranberry Sandwich is piled with hand-sliced turkey deli meat, cranberry chutney, and Swiss cheese before making an open-face pass through the oven.

The Pimiento Cheese Pizza consists of Newk’s hand-tossed crust brushed with garlic olive oil, covered with Pimiento cheese, baked in the oven, and garnished with bacon bits. Pimiento cheese is one of Newk’s signature menu items and is made with sharp Yellow and White Cheddar cheeses and a proprietary seasoning blend to bring a signature flavor combination to the classic Southern spread.

“Our seasonal offerings are designed to warm our guests from inside out on bitter winter days,” says Alan Wright, vice president of franchise operations and marketing.

The toasted sandwiches are priced at $6.95 and $6.75 respectively, and the Pimiento Cheese Pizza is available for $7.25.
