Newk's Express Café Debuts Fall Soup Schedule

Fall is in the air at Newk’s Express Café, which has launched its new seasonal soup schedule.

The new schedule includes the following soup options: Broccoli Cheese, Chicken Noodle, Tomato Basil, White Bean Chicken Chili, Lobster Bisque, Loaded Potato, Newk’s Signature Chili, Lobster Crab Bisque, Mushroom Bisque, and Ultimate Crab.

Monday and Wednesday feature Broccoli Cheese, Chicken Noodle, and White Bean Chicken Chili, while there is also Tomato Basil on Monday and Ultimate Crab on Wednesday.

Tuesday and Thursday offerings are Loaded Potato, Newk’s Signature Chili, and Mushroom Bisque. There is also Lobster Bisque on Tuesday and Chicken Tortilla on Thursday.

Friday features Lobster Crab Bisque, Tomato Basil, Broccoli Cheese, and White Bean Chicken Chili.

Loaded Potato, Ultimate Crab, Newk’s Signature Chili, and Chicken Noodle are the Saturday options, and the Sunday soups are Lobster Bisque, Tomato Basil, Chicken Tortilla, and Mushroom Bisque.

“The soups at Newk’s are all made from scratch and have acquired quite a loyal fan base over the years,” says Chris Newcomb, founder, president, and CEO of Newk’s. “We like to switch the schedule and offerings as the seasons change. This fall we have brought back some fan favorites for the cooler weather.”

Newk’s Express Café provides an express casual-dining experience and features a variety of made-to-order choices, including fresh-tossed salads, oven-baked sandwiches, California-style pizzas, made-from-scratch soups, and homemade cakes baked by Newk’s Bakery Company.

A selection of wines by the glass and beer is also available at select locations.

Since opening its first location in Oxford, Mississippi, in 2004, Newk’s Express Cafés have expanded its presence to 11 states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

Newk's has approximately 50 restaurants and more than 40 are franchised. Five new restaurants opened in 2010 and 15 opened in 2011.

Projections call for seven restaurants to open in 2012 and 10 to open in 2013.
