NexCen Franchise Management, a subsidiary of NexCen Brands, Inc., (NASDAQ: NEXC), promoted Martin Amschler, former executive vice president of international development, to the position of Chief Development Officer for NexCen Franchise Management. Amschler will oversee all sales and development efforts both domestic and abroad, and will be supported in his new role by recent additions and appointments to the development team.

Amschler’s promotion displays a definitive strategy to grow NexCen’s franchise base both domestically and abroad. Amschler has been responsible for significant international growth over his ten years with the company, indicating an astute knowledge of the brands and the franchise sales process. This year to date, Amschler has directed a series of multiyear agreements that call for a minimum of 165 stores to be opened outside of the U.S. NexCen Franchise Management’s growing pipeline of developments is currently 394 stores when combined with existing U.S. agreements.

“Martin has demonstrated tremendous knowledge and commitment to this organization,” says Chris Dull, president, NexCen Franchise Management. “I’m confident that he and his team are equipped to execute the global growth strategies that we’ve outlined for our franchised brands.”

Supporting Martin Amschler with domestic sales is Pam Price who joined NexCen Franchise Management on October 20, 2008 as vice president of domestic development. Price has over 15 years of experience in franchising. She has held a number of executive positions with national franchisors, and founded ProPel Franchising in 2003, a consulting company that works with prospective franchise partners. For international sales and development Amschler will be supported by; Benjamin Simon, director of development, Europe and Africa, Dan Benton, director of development, APAC and Middle East and Michael Murphy, who was recently appointed to director of development, Latin America.

“From a development standpoint we have great momentum as we look towards 2009 and beyond.” says Martin Amschler, chief development officer, NexCen Franchise Management. “I’m thrilled to lead such an accomplished team, and I’m confident that we are all ready for the potential growth that lies ahead.”
