In celebration of opening its 500th restaurant, CiCi’s Pizza will host the World’s Largest Pizza Buffet in an attempt to set a world record. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Texas Stadium.

CiCi’s is expecting 5,000 people to participate in the event and enjoy free pizza and Coca-Cola products while helping set the world record. In addition to free pizza, there will be live entertainment from a marching band and inflatable games and carnival activities.

Said CiCi’s president Craig Moore of the marketing event: “With 500 locations, CiCi’s is the restaurant industry’s largest pizza buffet concept, and we wanted to celebrate the opening of our 500th store in a unique, fun and exciting way. Everything is big in Texas, and being a Texas-based company we wanted to go big.”
