Fans of Dogmatic’s Dogmatic Dogs, Fresh-Grilled Burgers, Non-Fried Fries, and Handmade Sodas who are missing their popular Union Square location at 17th Street won’t have long to wait. Dogmatic is moving to 120 MacDougal Street in the West Village, at the corner of MacDougal and Minetta Lane, a block south of the newly renovated Washington SquarePark in the heart of the NYU campus. It is slated to open late summer 2013 and will be open seven days a week, including new late night hours.

The Dogmatic Good Food story began in 2006 with a cart in Bleecker Street Park. Its first restaurant location opened next to Union Square in 2008, serving fast food favorites. The restaurant features hand-crafted, grilled-to-order Dogmatic Dogs that come in five varieties: grass-fed beef, pasture-raised lamb, free-range chicken, all-natural pork, and fresh-grilled asparagus. They are served hot inside just-toasted artisan bread that is baked fresh daily, with the guest’s choice of gourmet sauce: cheddar jalapeno, horseradish mustard, chimichurri, and truffle gruyere.

Dogmatic’s menu grew due to popular demand, adding the fresh grass-fed beef Kebbie Burger, Fries that are air-baked as the restaurant shuns deep fat fryers, and macaroni and cheese crafted with gourmet Truffle Gruyere. “Dogmatic has grown steadily, and we’re grateful to our many loyal and enthusiastic customers,” says president Marisa Regal. “We are focused on having the right locations and the right rents as we always want to ensure excellent guest satisfaction.” Fans can keep up-to-date on the new opening via the Dogmatic web site, Facebook, and Twitter.

Dogmatic serves made-to-order fast food that’s full of flavor and free from hormones, antibiotics, nitrates, and preservatives. Regal adds, “We take sustainability and nutritional responsibility seriously to ensure that our delicious, freshly prepared gourmet food is not only good tasting, but good for you.”

Nikki Cascone, Top Chef contestant, proprietor of Red Hook Hospitality/Mothercheffer Productions, and nationally-known proponent of healthy eating, has been engaged by Dogmatic as a consulting chef. Dogmatic is thrilled about its expansion to the West Village and beyond. Dogmatic will also be opening in Winter Park Florida, just north of Orlando before the end of 2013 and is looking for additional sites in both markets.
