Pancheros Mexican Grill, a fast-casual Mexican restaurant known for its burritos, announced its 19th Iowa location in Altoona.

To commemorate the newest addition to the franchise’s home state, Pancheros will be offering its burritos for $1 on May 29 from 4p.m. to 6 p.m.

The key to Pancheros’ burrito experience lies in its plastic spatula, “Bob the Tool,” which evenly mixes ingredients to deliver a mouthful in each bite.

Pancheros also prides itself in serving burritos filled with ingredients like marinated grilled meats, bold salsas, and fresh vegetables.

Pancheros’ menu also includes other Mexican favorites, such as quesadillas, tacos, burrito bowls, and salads.

To add a spicy kick to patrons’ burritos, the Mexican food franchise offers two proprietary signature hot sauces: the Greenade, a green jalapeno sauce with hints of citrus; and the Flavolcano, a red sauce concocted with seven different peppers for a balance of smoke and heat.

“Our Iowa fans have come to expect only the best from Pancheros and the latest Altoona location will be no exception,” says Rodney Anderson, president of Pancheros Mexican Grill. “I am certain this location will be well received and look forward to its success.”
