Panda Express announced the launch of a Community Fundraising program in support of schools and local organizations affected by the budget crisis.

Organizations in need of fundraising opportunities are encouraged to contact their local Panda Express restaurant to sign up for a fundraising event where 20 percent of sales during the event will be donated back to the organization.

Over $350,000 is expected to be raised during the 12-week program.

“Schools and community organizations face tremendous challenges today,” said Tom Davin, President and CEO of Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., the parent company for Panda Express. “We’re taking action to support the teachers, children and parents of our communities.”

From now until mid June 2009, all 1,250 Panda Express, Hibachi-San, and Panda Inn locations across the United States will participate in this program.
