CashStar, the interactive gift card and incentives company, announced that Papa John’s International Inc. implemented the company’s online gift card service. Papa John’s customers can now send virtual gift cards, in any denomination between $10 and $100, directly from the pizza chain’s online ordering Web site to a recipient’s inbox.

“Reaching our customers where they are and making it easy to order Papa John’s pizza is digital priority number one,” says Andrew Varga, chief marketing officer for Papa John’s International Inc. “Having the online gift card is an extension of making it easy for consumers. They are busy. This is one element we can offer to conveniently and quickly check a gift off their lists.”

Papa John’s online gift cards can include a personalized message and be e-mailed to the intended recipient, either immediately or at a later scheduled date. The online gift card arrives via e-mail with a link to access the gift card and can be redeemed directly online with Papa John’s online ordering system. The online gift card is only redeemable in the U.S.

“Restaurant gift cards are the number one gift card option for online shoppers this holiday season, with 59 percent of online shoppers planning to purchase them,” says David Stone, CashStar’s CEO. “By enabling customers to order online gift cards, e-mail them, and redeem them directly on the site, Papa John’s is providing their customers with unmatched convenience and CashStar is pleased to be powering this latest innovation in customer service.”
