As a special thank you to its loyal customers and neighbors, Penn Station East Coast Subs is offering a free small order of its fresh-cut fries to anyone who dines in participating locations on Wednesday, April 24. Penn Station’s fresh-cut fries are a customer favorite, freshly hand-cut from unpeeled Idaho potatoes, which are then cooked to order in cholesterol-free peanut oil.
“Penn Station’s core customer base is fiercely loyal, especially when it comes to our fresh-cut fries,” says Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station Inc. “Our fries certainly have a high degree of crave appeal, as do many of our other menu items like our fresh baked chocolate chunk cookies.”
Originally founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1985, Penn Station is an upscale, fast-casual restaurant renowned for its legendary Philadelphia Cheesesteak Sub sandwich, served hot and made-to-order on baked French bread. Penn Station serves a variety of hot and cold subs, as well as hand-cut, made-to-order French fries, hand-squeezed lemonade made several times daily, and chocolate chunk cookies baked in the restaurant.
Penn Station has more than 250 restaurants in 13 states including Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. All but two locations are franchised. Projections call for the opening of 40 restaurants in 2013 and 45 in 2014. Markets targeted for growth include Kansas City, Richmond, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, and North and South Carolina, as well as a number of other existing markets.
