Penn Station East Coast Subs, the fast-casual restaurant known for its Philadelphia Cheesesteak Sub sandwich, served hot and made to order on freshly baked French bread, is honoring its exceptional performers for 2012. The top 10 general managers and the top 10 managing owners will attend the annual meeting for a dinner and award presentation.

“As a general manager-driven concept in which we promote an ownership mentality through a share of profits with our general managers, the general managers are critical to our success,” says Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station Inc. “The performance of the general manager has the greatest correlation to the overall performance of the restaurant, which is why we make it a point to reward our top general managers. Managing owners are the most instrumental in motivating general managers, and we reward our best managing owners as well. These honorees have used hard work, drive, determination, and commitment to maintain the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the restaurants and exceed customer expectations. I want to personally thank each of them for meeting and exceeding our operational standards.”

Each of the top 10 exceptional general managers has a restaurant that was in the top 10 percent for performance and merited an overall exceptional rating in 2012. The top 10 general managers for 2012 include: James Graham, Louisville, Kentucky; Terri Earls, Greenwood, Indiana; Elizabeth Wolfe, Terre Haute, Indiana; Jeff Dunaway, Louisville, Kentucky; Ken Deavers, Cleveland, Ohio; Amanda Vaughn, Evansville, Indiana; Alesia Taylor, Indianapolis, Indiana; Dave Harvey, Louisville, Kentucky; Mike Hammond, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Tesa Prater, Indianapolis, Indiana. Penn Station Inc. believes in the general managers’ awards so much that the company contributes to the cash reward that the top general managers receive.

All managing owners are invited to the dinner, and the top 10 multiunit managing owners with the highest average performance evaluation scores will be recognized. These include many managing owners who have received the distinction several times already. The top 10 are: Elizabeth Wolfe, fourth top 10 ranking; Don Robinson, sixth top 10 ranking; John Dorger, ninth top 10 ranking and eighth consecutive year in the top three; Eric Glenn, fourth consecutive top 10 ranking; Tracey Tent, fourth top 10 ranking; Kirk Adams, second top 10 ranking; Mike Osterfeld, sixth top 10 ranking; Dan Curry, ninth top 10 ranking; Jeff Kelsey, sixth top 10 ranking; and Jon Keidel, first top 10 ranking.
