Picazzo's Goes Heart Smart for February

Picazzo’s Organic Italian Kitchen, which was founded in 2002 and has seven locations throughout Arizona, is offering three new menu items celebrating heart-healthy eating and Valentine’s Day.

Throughout February, Picazzo’s will offer its new Heart Smart Gourmet Salad, which features organic spinach and mixed greens, candied walnuts, diced Fuji apples, tomatoes, avocado slices, blue cheese crumbles, and fig vinaigrette from Queen Creek Olive Oil. The Heart Smart Gourmet Salad comes in three sizes, with the smallest containing 7 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, and 500 calories.

The chain is also serving up heart-shaped, Neapolitan-style pizzas for lunch and dinner. From selections including the Naples Style Margherita to the popular California to the Sweet & Sassy, each heart-shaped pizza includes a gluten-free option and can be combined with a bottle of house wine and a small salad or dessert for two for just $44.

Picazzo’s is also introducing its newest signature cocktail, the Love Potion, which combines Corazon Reposado Tequila, agave nectar, lime juice, slivers of jalapeños, and pineapple chunks for a hot-and-sweet taste.

“Our new salad is packed with heart-healthy ingredients,” says Picazzo’s founder Rick Freedman. “And the heart-shaped pizzas and Love Potion are perfect for people looking to dine a little differently on Valentine’s Day.”

Picazzo’s will donate a portion of February’s proceeds to the American Heart Association.
