Starting Friday, June 12, Clarksville, Tennessee, and Algonquin, Illinois, residents can enjoy fresh, fast, personal pizza at two new Pie Five locations in the greater Nashville and Chicago areas, respectively. Pizza-lovers will have the chance to build their own pizza or try one of Pie Five’s delicious signature pies—all made to order and baked in less than five minutes.

Clarksville, Tennessee, is the fourth of 10 planned franchise locations by local businessmen Rich Davis and Ron Payne of Music City Pie Works LLC. “Bringing new business to the area is a passion for Ron and myself, and we’re both personally invested in helping our community flourish,” Davis says.

Local radio station 104.5 The Zone will help kick off the Clarksville opening celebration with Brent Dougherty, Mike Ryan, and former Titans All-Pro Blaine Bishop during a live broadcast from the Clarksville store from 3 to 6 p.m. Franchisees Rich Davis and Ron Payne are also offering $5 pizzas at any Nashville area Pie Five location, including the Donelson, Cool Springs and Hendersonville restaurants.

In accordance with the spirit of the Volunteer State, the new restaurant will donate half of its pre-opening sales to Friends Life, an organization that helps adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to grow personally, develop socially, and live productive and fulfilling lives as part of the Nashville community.

“Pie Five is a family-friendly restaurant perfect for the Algonquin, [Illinois] community,” says Randy Gier, Pie Five’s CEO. “Bringing the two together is a no brainer.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10:45 AM Friday, and a number of Algonquin community leaders will be there, including representatives from the Northwest Herald, the Chamber of Commerce, Jacobs High School, Make-A-Wish Illinois, Algonquin Area Youth Baseball, Park District, and members of the Village Board of Trustees.

To kick off the opening celebration, 50 percent of pre-opening proceeds will be donated to the Illinois chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation. In addition, the Algonquin Area Youth Baseball, Local Park District, and Jacobs High School Boosters will have ongoing partnerships and receive support from the new Algonquin restaurant.

The unique Pie Five model allows patrons to top their pizzas any way they want for the low price of $6.99, perfectly baked in only 145 seconds in a custom-designed, state-of-the-art oven. There are millions of possible pizza combinations Pie Five customers can create with four crusts (including artisan thin, classic pan, whole grain Neapolitan, and gluten free), seven sauces, and 28 fresh toppings. Additionally, customers can add one of Pie Five’s freshly tossed hand-made salads served in a baked pizza dough bowl or a decadent home-baked brownie or cookie pie.

The Algonquin restaurant marks the fourth Pie Five restaurant in Illinois, and Pie Five plans to open 500 company-owned and franchise units across the country in the next five years. There are 10 more Chicago-area locations planned before the end of the year.
