Pizza Hut today announced the launch of a new, interactive advertising campaign using hidden text codes. The new campaign, the “Cheesy Hunt” combines traditional television advertising with an interactive element designed to pique the interests of the digitally savvy. The campaign kicks off on Sunday, February 4, and is part of the advertising that features the return of Cheesy Bites Pizza® and Jessica Simpson.

All Cheesy Bites Pizza commercials, from February 4 through March 24, will feature a hidden code somewhere within the ad. Consumers will be encouraged to grab their cell phones and text these secret codes to THEHUT (843488) for a chance to win a variety of prizes.

Over the course of the seven week campaign, the codes will become more and more challenging to find. Each person who texts the correct code will be entered for a chance to win several sweepstakes prizes. Participants also can elect to receive offers valid at a local participating Pizza Hut restaurant.

Throughout the day on Sunday, February 4, Pizza Hut will air two new ads, including one with Jessica Simpson, featuring the return of Cheesy Bites Pizza. Both ads will contain the first hidden code. Customers are encouraged to look for the ads throughout the remaining six weeks to find additional hidden codes.
