Pizza Hut is Most Trusted Food Brand in India
The Most Trusted Food & Beverage Brands survey, which appears in The Economic Times's August 20 edition, ranks the top-10 global brands that have earned the trust and loyalty of consumers in India. The survey, conducted by Synovate India, polled more than 100 educated and affluent Indian consumers 21 to 40 years old. Pizza Hut ranked the number one most trusted brand among consumers ages 21 to 30 and 31 to 40.
In addition to Pizza Hut India's number one spot on the Most Trusted Food & Beverage Brands list, the company also has been named the most trusted quick-service restaurant brand for the past three years in The Economic Times's annual Most Trusted Brands ranking that surveys over 7,000 consumers throughout India. According to the annual survey that appeared in The Economic Times' February 15 edition, Pizza Hut is the number one most trusted food service brand in India and the only restaurant company to place in the Top-25 Service Brands list.
As of the second quarter 2006 earnings, the company had 130 Pizza Hut restaurants and 15 KFCs in India.
