Pizza Hut Takes on the $5 Competition

According to Pizza Hut, Americans are giving the cold shoulder to cold sandwiches and the $5 Pepperoni P'Zone pizza from Pizza Hut has everyone hot for more than a pound of steamy, delicious food at a great price.

Weighing more than a pound, the P'Zone pizza is filled with Pizza Hut toppings in three recipes. The choices of Meaty, Classic, or Pepperoni fillings with cheese are folded into a pizza crust and freshly-baked.

Options include:

-- Classic P'Zone: Filled with cheese, Italian sausage, green peppers, and red onions

-- Meaty P'Zone: Packed with cheese, pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage, and seasoned beef

-- Pepperoni P'Zone: Loaded with pepperoni and melted cheese

All P'Zone pizzas are served with a side of marinara sauce.

"Not all five dollar offers are created equal," says Bob Kraut, marketing communications VP for Pizza Hut. "Pizza Hut believes that five dollars should leave you full and happy, and the P'Zone does just that."
