Pizza Patron Ready for Some Fútbol

Known internationally for its Latin brand focus, Pizza Patrón announced that it is launching ¡Fútbol-Gana!, its World Cup online sweepstakes. Pizza Patrón fans have a chance to win one of four 50-inch home theater systems and many other great prizes.

The promotion began on May 17 and runs through July 9. During that time, pizza lovers and World Cup fans alike can enter once a day on the company’s website for their chance to win one of four grand prize packages, including a 50-inch flat-screen TV, a satellite TV subscription, and a surround sound system. Twenty runners-up will also receive a $50 gift card for WorldSoccerShop.com to buy their favorite soccer gear or team jerseys.

”Fútbol, or soccer as we know it here in the U.S., is the most popular sport in the world, and our Hispanic customers have been anticipating this for months,” says Andrew Gamm, brand director for Pizza Patrón. “This is big for us, and we are working hard every day to enhance the World Cup experience for our customers.”

In preparation for the games, Pizza Patrón began distributing free game schedule posters on May 17 that contained valuable coupons and a secret code needed to enter the online sweepstakes. The ¡Fútbol-Gana! secret code is also available for participants on the company’s Facebook and Twitter sites, or a game card can be obtained at any Pizza Patrón location in the U.S.

“Many experts expect this Saturday’s game [between the U.S. and England] to catapult the sport in popularity here in the U.S., but the majority of our customers have been avid fans their entire lives,” Gamm says. “Here at Pizza Patrón, we have laid the ground work to let our customers know that we want to be a part of their World Cup watching parties. What’s better than soccer and pizza, anyway?”
