PizzaRev marked its two-year anniversary with a special $5 pizza day at PizzaRev’s inaugural Northridge, California, location on April 22—the restaurant served more than 1,000 pizzas.

PizzaRev operates eight Los Angeles–area restaurants and is on pace to open 65 franchised and corporate locations across the country by the end of 2015.

“There is tremendous growth potential for our build-your-own pizza franchise,” says Rodney Eckerman, co-CEO of PizzaRev.”We are a data-driven company; we have a keen focus on strong unit level economics, so our main concern is being best to market, versus first to market—our guest feedback and same-store sales growth prove our strategy is working.”

Company executives plan to add 10 company-owned locations throughout California by the end of year. PizzaRev continues to seek experienced restaurant developers to franchise the brand in new markets across the country. Currently, franchise agreements have been signed to bring PizzaRev to Minneapolis; North Dakota; South Dakota; Austin; St. Louis; San Diego; and Orange County, California.
