Pretzelmaker announced that the company released an exclusive song and video for its “4 Buck Hook Up” value offer featuring 16-year-old St. Louis musician Morrion J. Henderson, a.k.a. “Goofy Boi.” A NexCen Franchise Management Inc. executive discovered the musician in September and felt that it was a natural fit for the brand. NexCen Franchise Management Inc. is a subsidiary of NexCen Brands Inc.

The “4 Buck Hook Up” promotion launched across the country in October and consists of two salted (or unsalted) pretzels for $4. Pretzelmaker worked with Goofy Boi to create a song featuring the “4 Buck Hook Up.” He shot the accompanying music video on location at a St. Louis shopping mall earlier this month. The song, entitled “The 4 Buck Hook Up,” tells the story of two teenagers who meet in the mall and combine their cash to take advantage of the $4 pretzel deal.

“We’re excited that we were able to work with this talented young musician to create a memorable, buzzworthy song about the 4 Buck Hook Up,” says Jenn Johnston, senior vice president of brand marketing for NexCen Franchise Management. “Our brand is seeing continued success reaching consumers through social media Web sites. Generating original content, especially unique music and videos, is an excellent way to engage new and existing customers.”
