Quaker Steak & Lube Greases Its Wheels in PA

Quaker Steak & Lube, the fast-casual concept known for its chicken wings and more than 20 sauce varieties, announced the opening of a new restaurant in State College, Pennsylvania. The Druzak Merchant Development Group will bring the chain back to State College. JDK Management, the largest Quaker Steak & Lube franchisee, has been retained to manage the restaurant. The Lube will open to the public Wednesday, October 23 at 3 p.m. The restaurant has created close to 200 jobs for the area and will be the 14th Quaker Steak & Lube location in Pennsylvania.

The new Lube will accommodate seating for over 270 guests and includes one bar. HD flat-screen televisions will play sports events and games throughout the restaurant.

"I am ecstatic to be part of bringing The Lube back to Happy Valley. I know the residents of State College will be pleased with our award-winning food and the variety of events being held at The Lube, from Bike Nite to Kid's Night," says Mark Snyder of JDK management.

Sports and automotive memorabilia of the State College Lube, hung from the ceilings and the walls of the restaurant, include a Honda CRF 150 donated by Track ‘N Trail crashing through the window, the Triumph Bonneville used in the movie Terminator 3 donated by Kissell Motorsports, a 1976 Chevy Corvette restored by Stocker Chevrolet, and a 2011 Bourget Python donated by Extreme Custom Cycles.

The State College Lube will hold events all week including Car Cruise-ins, All You Can Eat Wing night, Karaoke, Bike Nite, Kid’s Night, Happy Hour, and more.

For convenient to-go food, the State College Lube location will also operate a drive-up pick up area, and the restaurant will launch online ordering this summer.
