Quaker Steak & Lubewon the Festival Favorite award, an honor voted on by fans, at the 2013 National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, New York.

This marks the second year in a row that The Lube has been named Festival Favorite, and the third time overall. In addition, Quaker Steak & Lube was also recognized for its Triple Atomic wing sauce, winning first place in the Traditional Extra-Hot sauce category.

“We are thrilled to be named the Festival Favorite once again,” says John Longstreet, CEO of Quaker Steak & Lube. “We take great pride and passion in our signature sauces, and winning this award for consecutive years truly proves that we are ‘Best Wings USA.’”

The National Buffalo Wing Festival is a two-day event that takes place annually during Labor Day weekend at the Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo. This year, it took place on Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1.

Each year at the National Buffalo Wing Festival, The Lube enters its sauces into three of the seven allotted categories. A panel of judges then decides which restaurants have the best sauce based on a blind taste test.

“We want to thank all of Lube nation and our fans at this year’s festival for their support and excitement of this great award,” Longstreet says. “We can’t wait for 2014.”
