Quiznos Returns Chicken Carbonara to Menu

One of Quiznos top-selling featured subs from 2002, the Chicken Carbonara with Creamy Alfredo Sauce, is back on the chain's menu for February 2003.

There are, however, some recipe modifications to this year's Chicken Carbonara sub. The recipe still calls for all white meat chicken strips, melted mozzarella cheese, bacon, mushrooms, spices, and a creamy bacon alfredo sauce. But this year the sub features Quiznos signature Italian White Bread, and the mushrooms are served without sauteing.

The Chicken Carbonara was introduced in January 2002 for a limited time only. Once the sub was removed from the menu, Quiznos says customers called and emailed asking that the restaurant chain bring it back to the menu.

The Denver-based chain, which has nearly 2,000 locations, is featuring a new sub on its menu during each quarter.
