Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers founder and CEO Todd Graves has been a Willie Nelson fan as long as he can remember. Now that he presides over one of the nation’s fastest growing and most successful restaurant companies, Graves figured the time was right to check another item off his bucket list.

On Aug. 21, Graves will introduce Willie Nelson and his band to the audience at Dallas’ House of Blues, in the first of a two-day Cane’s Rocks concert series. Graves will repeat the honor the next night at the House of Blues in New Orleans.

“Willie Nelson is an American icon, a true country legend, a rebel that has charted his own course and created music that will live on for generations to come,” Graves says. “He represents what Raising Cane’s aspires to be in the quick-service restaurant industry. That’s why we’re so proud to bring him to two of our most important markets for these special performances.”

With capacities of just 1,625 and 843 concert-goers, respectively, the Dallas and New Orleans House of Blues venues offer more intimate settings than Nelson’s fans are accustomed to. The shows are sure to sell out quickly, but Graves made sure to carve out a large supply of tickets specifically for Raising Cane’s customers.

Beginning July 5, the “Raising Cane’s Presents Willie Nelson and Family Contest” is giving Cane’s customers the opportunity to win free tickets to the concerts in Dallas and New Orleans, as well as other prizes, including iPads, iPod Nanos, iTunes gift cards, $100 Ticketmaster gift cards, and 85 copies of “The Essential Willie Nelson” CD sets.

In addition, three Grand Prizes, valued at $3,000 each, will be awarded. Each Grand Prize consists of two tickets to either the Dallas or New Orleans concert, plus coach class airfare for two to the respective city and hotel accommodations.

“We’ve fostered a culture at Raising Cane’s over the years that is fun, friendly and unique, and we wanted to bring that attitude to these shows with Willie,” Graves says. “We’re going to pack the house with Caniacs and show Willie what one love is all about!”
