ORTEC announced that Restaurant Technologies Inc. (RTI) has been able to gain significant savings with ORTEC’s Bulk Forecasting, Order Generation, and Route Optimization Solution Suite across North America. The solution covers RTI’s 35 current distribution centers and is already live in many metropolitan areas across North America. The ORTEC solution is seamlessly integrated with the Microlise mobility platform and ORACLE’s ERP Suite.

“At the end of May 2008, we officially completed the ORTEC Training in our 36 distribution sites across the country,” says Aries Estrellado, senior engineer at RTI Inc. “One of the benefits of the solution is the single dashboard that brings information from multiple platforms. Also, visually seeing routes on a single map has simplified complex routing solutions. The feedback from the field has been ecstatic as we can say we now have a world class routing solution.”

“RTI’s unique pick-up and delivery business, combined with its rapid growth, provides a proving ground for our integrated bulk solution covering Forecasting for Vendor Managed Inventory, Automated Order Generation, and Dynamic Route Optimization all based on a lowest total cost distribution model,” says Corné Aantjes, business unit owner for Oil, Gas, and Chemicals. “RTI already benefits from our solution at 14 locations throughout the U.S. and has been able to generate true value from using our software. Managing logistics spend is very important with where the current fuel prices have gone.”
