Rubio's Restaurants, known for its fish taco, is celebrating the return of its fan favorite, Langostino Lobster Taco and Burrito, for a limited time. Rubio’s is giving the seasonal classic an update with the addition of its new citrus rice. Created and developed by Ralph Rubio and the Rubio’s culinary team, the citrus rice features white rice mixed with lime juice and lemongrass. Designed to complement Langostino Lobster’s flavors, the items represent Rubio’s lighter, fresher approach to seafood.

The Langostino Lobster Burrito features Langostino Lobster drizzled with warm basil butter, citrus rice, and fresh guacamole. Wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, the burrito includes black beans, chipotle white sauce, salsa fresca, and is topped off with crisp lettuce. The Langostino Lobster Two Taco Plate, served with no-fried pinto beans and chips, offers guests two tacos topped with sliced avocados, a cilantro-onion mix, chipotle white sauce, and cabbage. Fans can also try Rubio’s new Surf & Turf taco plate featuring one Langostino Lobster Taco and one Grilled Gourmet Steak Taco, served with a side of no-fried pinto beans and chips.

“At Rubio’s, we are deeply committed to offering our guests delicious food they love and feel good about eating,” says Ralph Rubio, co-founder of Rubio’s. “Langostino Lobster has been a favorite since we introduced more than a decade ago. As a part of our culinary progression, we have elevated the taste, while remaining true to the unique flavors that have made Langostino Lobster a seasonal staple year after year.”

Rubio’s dedication to seafood cuisine began when the first Rubio’s opened in 1983. The time Ralph Rubio spent developing the first fish taco recipe became the basis for everything Rubio’s stands for today. To date, Rubio’s has sold more than 170 million Original Fish Tacos and uses sustainable seafood in nearly all of its seafood menu items. The brand continues to expand its menu with innovative recipes, ranging from sustainable shrimp to Atlantic salmon. In addition to serving certified sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers grilled marinated chicken and steak, no-fried pinto beans, salads, handmade guacamole, and a variety of proprietary salsas—all prepared in Rubio’s kitchens.
