Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill and Share Our Strength today announced the All-American Moment fundraiser to raise awareness and money in support of ending childhood hunger.

Guests are invited to visit any participating Rubio’s restaurant to create an “All-American Moment” by taking a photo of themselves and uploading it to Rubio’s Official Facebook Fan Page. For each uploaded photo, Rubio’s will donate 25 cents to Share Our Strength, a non profit for childhood hunger, and guests will receive a coupon for a complimentary All-American Taco, Rubio’s new “burger with a Beach Mex twist,” to use on their next visit. The fundraiser began May 26 and ends July 21, 2009. All-American Moment photos also can be sent to Rubio’s via Twitter to @Rubios_beachmex or emailed to allamerican@rubios.com. All photos will be available to view at All-American Taco Photo Album on the Rubio’s Official Facebook Fan page. “We are thrilled to be working with Rubio’s All-American Moment fundraiser and this creative new effort to raise awareness of childhood hunger in America,” says Debbie Shore, co-Founder of Share Our Strength. “We encourage all of Rubio’s fans to upload a photo of themselves to support this wonderful initiative. The money raised will help Share Our Strength fund programs that provide the resources and services to children in need throughout America.”

Rubio’s All-American Taco debuted on May 6 and will be on menus for a limited time.

“Our goal is to raise awareness and money in support of ending childhood hunger while rewarding our guests with our new All-American Taco–it’s the All-American thing to do especially while times are tough,” says Larry Rusinko, senior vice president of marketing at Rubio’s, of the All-American Moment fundraiser.
