To celebrate the grand opening of its first Spring, Texas, location, and its 43rd location nationwide, Salata, “The Next Generation Salad Bar,” will give away a free salad or salad wrap and signature drink to the first 43 guests in line beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 5.

Located at 1600 Louetta Road, the 3,000-square-foot restaurant will feature a drive-up window where guests can quickly pick up their online order from the convenience of their car.

“Houston is our hometown, and our loyal following has allowed us to expand throughout the area and beyond,” says Salata founder and CEO Berge Simonian. “We encourage our new neighbors to join us on June 5 to support the Spring ISD Education Foundation and experience a wide variety of fresh, healthy options for a quick lunch or dinner on the go.”

On opening day, Salata will donate 15 percent of sales to the local Spring ISD Education Foundation. The organization supports students and teachers of Spring ISD through scholarship and grant donations in an effort to enhance the quality of education in the community.

“Support of our local businesses helps the Spring ISD Education Foundation fulfill our mission,” says Edward Wade, Spring ISD Education Foundation president. “Salata’s commitment will build the health of our community, while its offerings will help keep us all healthy.”

This will be the 22nd Houston-area location for the growing innovative salad bar chain, which has opened two new restaurants this year and has plans to open more than 10 additional locations throughout the remainder of 2015. The Spring community can now enjoy the chain’s completely customizable salads and wraps made with a variety of more than 50 fresh, healthy ingredients, including the newly launched seasonal fruits—mango, blueberry, and watermelon—available through June 15. All locations are gluten-free certified and offer vegan proteins, freshly prepared soups, fresh-baked breads, and desserts.

Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
