Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina is arriving in Lewisville, Texas, courtesy of Barton & Agha, LLC. Set to open mid-summer, the Lewisville restaurant is one of six locations rolling out in the metroplex over a four-year period. Plano, Frisco, and Allen are the target areas for these locations.

The principals of the company behind the deal are Mohammad Agha, Chris Barton, and Cayce Barton, who have owned and operated a multi-unit fast-food restaurant franchise for more than 40 years.

Salsarita’s new openings come in a year when the company is experiencing growth throughout the country. Backed by restaurant industry veteran Phil Friedman, CEO of Salsarita’s, multiple deals have been put in place to bring restaurants to areas including Alpharetta, Georgia; High Point, North Carolina; Columbia, South Carolina, Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Oxford, Mississippi, all within the year.

“Salsarita’s is a perfect fit for us and our first location will be in the mall anchored by Nebraska Furniture,” says Barton & Agha’s Mohammad Agha. “We love Sonic but the market is fairly full here and we had looked at a Salsarita’s in Longview and felt it would fit in very nicely with our group. We like that it’s a completely different concept and segment known as quick casual. We also were very impressed with Phil Friedman and his outlook for the chain for the future.”

“Bringing Salsarita’s to Lewisville with these wonderful partners provides another tremendous opportunity to reach a large audience with a fresh new look,” says Friedman. “Salsarita’s is a concept that has demonstrated success in universities, airports, and malls and the Lewisville location is primed to replicate that success.”
