Schlotzsky’s has announced company plans to expand throughout Oklahoma, including Oklahoma City and Tulsa. With 14 existing locations in Oklahoma, Schlotzsky’s company plans call for 10 signed franchise deals in Tulsa and another 15 signed deals in Oklahoma City by the end of 2014 to add to a roster of over 350 locations worldwide. “Schlotzsky’s has already built fantastic brand recognition and a strong reputation in the Oklahoma market,” says David Wheeler, vice president of franchise development at Schlotzsky’s. “As an established brand, we anticipate the same great success in these development markets for years to come.” All future Schlotzsky’s locations in Oklahoma will feature co-branding opportunities with sister companies, Cinnabon and Carvel. “We are seeking qualified franchise partners who have passion, keen business acumen and a strong commitment to the community, to join us in continued growth in the area,” Wheeler says. Development plans in the state of Oklahoma are a part of Schlotzsky’s strategic growth initiatives across the nation. The fast-casual chain will continue targeting markets in its home state, Texas, and in untapped markets around the country such as St. Louis and Kansas City.
