Schlotzsky’s, famous for The Original round toasted sandwich, adds two new salads to its fresh tossed salads line-up. Adding to the eight other hearty salad offerings currently on the menu, the Italian Chopped and Southwestern Chicken will be available starting October 8, 2013.

“Since adding fresh tossed salads to our menu, we have seen the popularity of our salad options soar, prompting us to give customers more of what they love,” says Kelly Roddy, president of Schlotzsky’s. “Aligning with Schlotzsky’s dedication to freshly prepared food, this pair of made-to-order salads will delight guests with their unique flavor profiles built with the freshest of ingredients, just like their predecessors.”

The two new made-to-order Schlotzsky’s salads are:

·Italian Chopped—Chopped romaine lettuce, shredded ham, pepperoni, cotto and Genoa salamis, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, olive tapenade, and diced tomatoes tossed with an Italian dressing.
·Southwestern Chicken—Fresh mixed field greens, grilled chicken breast, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, corn with black beans, diced tomatoes, and tortilla strips.

Schlotzsky’s restaurants offer guests more than 15 different sandwiches on its famous, round freshly-baked buns, as well as gourmet pizzas made with Fresh-from-Scratch crusts, freshly made-to-order tossed salads, and a variety of soups and desserts.
