Schlotzsky's Takes on Summer with "Hot Hitz"

Schlotzsky’s is spicing things up this summer as it brings back two popular sandwich combinations and unveils a third for its ‘Hot Hitz’ summer promotion.

Through August 28, 2011, the famous fast-casual restaurant concept, home to The Original round toasted sandwich, will offer two oldies but goodies, The Albuquerque Turkey and Windy City Pastrami, while rolling out its new Buffalo Chicken sandwich.

The trio of sandwiches is sure to be a ‘Hot Hit’ with customers as they seek to satisfy their lunch and dinner time cravings at Schlotzsky’s.

“The Albuquerque Turkey and Windy City Pastrami are two longtime favorites that our customers rave about,” says Kelly Roddy, president of Schlotzsky’s. “We’re excited to share the news on our limited-time-offer promotion while introducing our newcomer, the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, which is hearty and full of flavor. We look forward to serving our customers the best in delectable gourmet sandwiches.”

Each new sandwich features high-quality, premium meats, cheeses, homemade dressings, and veggies served on fresh, toasted round buns.

The Buffalo Chicken sandwich is made of thinly sliced roasted chicken breast, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion, topped with Schlotzsky’s famous Louisiana hot sauce on toasted Sourdough bread and served with bleu cheese dressing on the side.

The Albuquerque Turkey sandwich features smoked turkey breast and crispy bacon with cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses layered with fire-roasted vegetables, chipotle mayonnaise, shredded lettuce, and tomato on toasted Jalapeño Cheese bread.

The Windy City Pastrami sandwich is made with premium New York-style pastrami and melted Swiss cheese with Dijon mustard on toasted Dark Rye bread.
