In what is now a Mother’s Day tradition from the all-American iconic restaurant brand, Shoney’s will once again offer its Mother’s Day buffet, with menu items like slow-roasted turkey, home-style dressing, smokehouse ham, herb-roasted and crispy fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, herb-roasted salmon, and garlic shrimp, all starting at $11.99.

In addition, as Shoney’s way of saying thanks to moms on their special day, each mom dining at Shoney’s will receive a free slice of strawberry pie. Shoney’s strawberry pies are made in-house.

“We’ve been America’s dinner table for years, and strawberry pie is America’s favorite dessert,” says David Davoudpour, chairman and CEO of Shoney’s. “Nothing pleases us more than to serve families across America with a special Mother’s Day buffet and treating moms to a delicious and free dessert. Please join us for fresh quality food at a great value with friendly service on this special day.”

Since acquiring the American eatery in 2006, Davoudpour has been on a mission to revitalize and reinvigorate Shoney’s family-friendly, southern-style restaurant chain, which was one of the first family casual dining concepts in the U.S. when it began serving guests 66 years ago.

Davoudpour unveiled Shoney’s new restaurant at Sugarloaf Mills in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The mall location, a first for Shoney’s, also features a full liquor service, big-screen TVs, and Shoney’s On The Go, a quick-service dining option providing Shoney’s favorites within minutes.
