ShopKeep POS, the simplest way to make smarter business decisions, announced its entry into the quick-serve market with full kitchen printing capabilities.

To meet customer and merchant needs, ShopKeep POS has developed the simplest way to modify an order, adjust the price accordingly, and print it to the kitchen all on an iPad POS.

This new enhancement will benefit any type of quick-serve restaurant, cafe, coffee shop, ice cream store, pizzeria, bakery, and more, and is currently available to merchants in the App Store.

“How many times have you walked into a cafe and they are writing orders down on a pen and pad of paper and then ringing you up separately?” says Jason Richelson, CEO and founder of ShopKeep POS.

“Our latest release takes all of that that friction away. You can select an item, add all the options, and modify the price, all in one fell swoop right from your ShopKeep POS iPad register,” he adds. “Best of all, the order automatically prints to the kitchen, which keeps operations running smoothly, especially at peak times.”

Many quick serves have already started using ShopKeep POS. This latest feature allows the New York City tech startup to compete more aggressively with other restaurant point-of-sale systems, reducing the gap between tablet-based technology and more traditional PC-based point-of-sale solutions.

“This new feature is perfect for my cafe. It allows items to be easily customizable and the menu to be easily navigated. If I could design a POS system it would be exactly like this,” says Eric Faust, who owns Duluth Coffee Company in Minnesota.

“I have worked with Aloha and other major point-of-sale systems, and ShopKeep has the same modifier abilities, only the ShopKeep backend has a more customizable user interface and is easier to navigate,” he adds.

The announcement comes on the heels of the ShopKeep POS time clock feature release earlier this week, which makes it easier for business owners to keep track of employee and manager shifts right from the iPad register.

ShopKeep POS is an easy-to-use and flexible point-of-sale solution embraced by more than 3,000 locations to manage inventory, customers, and facilitate transactions, all from an iPad.

Thesubscription-based service includes unlimited seven-days-a-week customer care by phone, e-mail, and online chat, ensuring its customers are never in the dark and always able to get the help they need when they need it.
