Smashburger announced it opened its first Manhattan restaurant Thursday, April 10. The new restaurant is located in Midtown next to the Empire State Building at 10 W. 33rd St.

“We are thrilled to debut Smashburger in Manhattan and bring our menu of premium smashed to order burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, signature sides, and handspun Haagen-Dazs shakes to this culinary capital,” says Scott Crane, president and chief executive officer of Smashburger. “Our goal is to put great tasting burgers back into people’s lives, by serving fresh, all natural Certified Angus Beef smashed to order and topped with the freshest produce, a variety of real cheeses, and a selection of buns. The new Empire State Smashburger features a menu specifically designed with regional flavors and taste preferences in mind. The Manhattan menu includes the New Yorker, a local burger highlighting Smashburger’s burger topped with New York Cheddar cheese, garlic grilled onions, spinach, tomato, and peppercorn garlic aioli on a brioche bun.

The first Smashburger in Manhattan is owned by franchise group Smash Partners Richard Greenstein, Eric and Ronnie Portnoy, and Howard Novick, who also operate locations in Westchester County.
