McDonald’s is helping consumers get their caffeine fix with its new espresso-based McCafe coffees. With a base of hot or iced lattes, mochas, and cappuccinos and made with whole or skim milk, the McCafe coffee line-up is available with caramel, hazelnut, vanilla, and sugar-free vanilla syrups. McCafe coffees are sold throughout the day at participating McDonald’s restaurants and are priced starting at $2.29. Premium Roast drip coffee and hot chocolate are also available.

“The introduction of McCafe coffees allows us to offer premium espresso-based beverages alongside our menu of great tasting, high-quality food, at the price and convenience that only McDonald’s can deliver,” says Ti Chang, McDonald’s owner/operator and president of the McDonald’s Operators’ Association of Southern California (MOASC). “We look forward to providing our fast and friendly service to coffee seekers who need a little pick-me-up anytime morning, noon or night.”

McDonald’s espresso and Premium Roast drip coffees are made in partnership with local gourmet coffee maker, F. Gavina & Sons Inc. Located in Vernon, California, Gavina has served as a McDonald’s supplier for more than 25 years.

McCafe coffees are made with fully ripened Arabica coffee beans, which are harvested by hand in the warm climates of Central and South America, as well as in the mountainous regions of Indonesia. A state-of-the art espresso machine freshly grinds McCafe specialty coffee beans before brewing them under pressure, with the customer’s choice of whole or skim milk. McCafe orders are Made for You and prepared when the customer orders it, to their specifications.
