Steak 'n Shake, famous for the Original Steakburger and hand-dipped milkshakes, celebrates the grand opening of its first restaurant in the city of Alabaster, Alabama.

The restaurant opens its doors this Thursday, August 23, 2012, at 10 a.m.

Clarence Moss, president and chairman of SNS of Central Alabama, LLC, as well as Renee Moss, CFO; Clare Thomas, COO; and Richard Thomas, store manager and franchise development, will host the festivities. Mayor of Alabaster, David Frings, will cut the ribbon.

Steak 'n Shake, founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois, by restaurateur Gus Belt, is the pioneer in the better-burger segment of the restaurant industry. 

In addition to showcasing the new design, Steak 'n Shake continues its 78-year-old tradition of serving a variety of steakburgers and milkshakes, including the newest and tastiest offerings, the Jalapeno Crunch Steakburger and Fresh Banana hand-dipped milkshakes.

Steak 'n Shake guests can also enjoy a number of daily deals beginning with the Half Price Happy Hour on all milkshakes and drinks served weekdays from 2-4 p.m.; Kids Eat Free on Weekends deal; and the "4 Meals Under $4" menu.
