Milford, Conn.—April 30, 2002—Subway is adding five fresh new additions to its Selects line of gourmet-inspired sandwiches.

Building upon the success of its Selects line, first introduced in 2000,
Subway will premiere its newest sandwich offerings on May 20th at all locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Consumers will soon be able to savor the flavorful the Sweet
Onion Chicken Teriyaki sub (teriyaki glazed all-white meat chicken breast
strips enhanced with a Sweet Onion Sauce); Red Wine Vinaigrette Club
(roast beef, turkey breast and ham topped with a red wine vinaigrette sauce), and the Honey Mustard Ham (sliced ham served with Subway’s exclusive Honey Mustard Sauce). All have less than six grams of fat.

Also new are the Dijon Horseradish Melt (turkey breast, ham, bacon and melted cheese topped with Dijon horseradish sauce, a tantalizing blend of horseradish, Dijon mustard and mayonnaise) and the Southwest Turkey and Bacon sub (turkey breast and bacon with a delightfully tangy sauce that was inspired by the flavors of the American Southwest).

The development of the Selects line has been the product of years of
market research, field-testing and refinement, and, as a result, Subway
received the 2001 MenuMasters Award for best menu/line extension as
presented by the editorial board of Nation’s Restaurant News.

“In addition to being a featured ingredient in the Subway Selects menu,
customers will be able to order any of the new sauces on their favorite Subway sandwich,” ,” says Chris Martone, Subway research and development’s executive chef.
