Subway announced a multi-year, global relationship with UK-based IT solutions developer, PXtech.

The partnership will see exciting new management tools delivered to the nearly 35,000 Subway stores worldwide being powered by the latest innovative technologies, including PXtech's PXportal business intelligence system.

The implementation of the PXportal system technology will provide Subway franchisees with online access to real-time data from their point of sale systems across multiple stores.

The use of PXtech’s solutions will bring significant benefits to all involved, says Thys Van Hout, chief technology officer for Subway.“We’re delighted to be working with PXtech – the implementation of PXtech’s system is the ideal addition to our exciting and fast-moving technology programme and provides excellent tools for helping our restaurant owners to manage their business.”

Specialist IT solutions company PXtech, which creates tailored programmes to provide organisations with a clear, accurate, and real-time view of business performance, already operates across a wide European client base in the hospitality, retail, education, and local authority sectors.

This latest deal with Subway restaurants will see PXtech’s products reaching a new worldwide audience in addition to maintaining its continuing, fast-paced growth in both the European and North American markets.

“We are delighted to be working with Subway on this important project,” PXtech Managing Director Richard Dorf says. “One of the crucial success factors for growing franchises is brand consistency and having a clear view of the detailed business performance data from each store. The roll-out is being heralded as very welcome news by Subway and its franchisees, which is reflected in the fact that over 11,000 stores have already joined the service and we’re seeing many thousands of hits daily on the site.”
