Taco Bell announced that this year’s winner of its Glen Bell Award is RLC Enterprises Inc., headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, and owned by franchisees Iris Cohn and Terry Haseman. The Glen Bell Award is given to a franchisee who best exemplifies the qualities and entrepreneurial spirit that Taco Bell’s founder, Glen Bell, brought to the quick-service restaurant business. The award was presented to Cohn and Haseman at the annual Taco Bell franchise convention in San Antonio.

“Receiving the Glen Bell Award is both a milestone and proud accomplishment for RLC,” says Iris Cohn, owner of RLC Enterprises Inc. and RLC of Michiana Inc. “We attribute our success to the hard work and outstanding commitment from our team of directors, area supervisors, RGMs, store managers, and crew that support each store.”

RLC Enterprises Inc. was started in 1983 by Dick and Iris Cohn. RLC was the first franchise-owned Taco Bell in the Chicagoland area. Their first store was located in Mundelein, Illinois. Since their beginnings in 1983, RLC Enterprises Inc., along with the addition of Haseman in 1992, now spans across four Midwest states including Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan. RLC employs over 1,000 employees and owns 45 Taco Bell locations among other Yum! Concepts.
