Taco Cabana Spices Up Its Salsa Bar with LTO Platform

For guests who believe variety is the spice of life, Taco Cabana launches its Salsa Especial! program featuring a rotation of new, fresh, handmade, limited-time-only salsas to its salsa bar. The bar currently offers six different salsas that are made in-house with hand-chopped vegetables daily.

The program’s first salsa is Roasted Tomatillo, available beginning August 4. Influenced by Northern Mexican cuisine, the green salsa brings the sweet and smoky flavors of flame-roasted tomatillos and jalapeno peppers together with fresh cilantro and onions. Guests can pair it with the limited-time $4.99 Steak Street Tacos Meal Deal or other items on Taco Cabana’s menu.

“We wanted to offer more dynamic flavor experiences via our salsa bar by adding new ingredients, colors and textures that complement our authentic Mexican cuisine,” says Taco Cabana corporate chef Martin Samudio. “The freshly prepared specialty salsas will give our guests new ways to enjoy their favorite Taco Cabana dishes.”

Roasted Tomatillo will be on the salsa bar until late October, when Avocado Cilantro, a blend of zesty sour cream, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro flavored with a touch of garlic and vinegar, will take its place. A different made-from-scratch salsa will be introduced every six to eight weeks and, depending on popularity among customers, some may be added to the permanent salsa lineup.
