Taco John’s International Board of Directors has appointed Barry Sims as the company’s new president. Sims replaces Paul Fisherkeller, who will remain on as Taco John’s chief executive officer and chairman of the board.

Sims, 51, joined Taco John’s in 1986 and has served in various capacities, most recently as executive vice president and CFO. He is active in many local organizations and currently serves on the board of directors of Cheyenne LEADS. He is also a CPA and was previously employed with McGladrey & Pullen in Rapid City, SD.

Paul Fisherkeller was appointed as President of Taco John’s in 1997. He led the company to 10 consecutive years of same store sales growth. In 2005 he began an initiative to update all of the Taco John’s facilities to a fresh, bold look that aligned with the company’s West-Mex® branding program. Sims will continue these efforts.

Both Fisherkeller and Sims will address all the franchisees at the Taco John’s annual franchise convention scheduled in late March.
