TCBY, The Country’s Best Yogurt and frozen yogurt, announces its plans to open a new flagship store in Broomfield, Colorado, which will also serve as the company’s training center for its domestic and international franchisees.

Located at the base of its corporate headquarters at Arista Place, construction of the new store will begin in December with a target opening date scheduled for early March 2013. In addition to the company’s famous TCBY Super Fro-Yo and Greek soft serve frozen yogurt, the corporate location will also introduce its first Live Culture bar featuring fresh Greek yogurt and anti-oxidant juices used to create delicious smoothies.

“We are very excited to open our first corporate store and the 12th TCBY location in Colorado right here in Broomfield. The tremendous growth opportunity at Arista will be very advantageous for the advancement of the brand,” states Tim Casey, CEO of TCBY. “We look forward to swirling our delicious frozen yogurt and introducing some new aspects of our brand to the local community.”

In addition to its exciting new frozen yogurt store design, the facility will also serve as the chain’s R&D headquarters. TCBY continues to lead the frozen yogurt industry by delivering first-to-market innovations, including Greek Fro-Yo and its previous launch of TCBY Super Fro-Yo, which was recognized by Prepared Foods Media for its “Excellence in Innovation” award. “We have invested heavily into the food science of our fro-yo, giving our R&D team the chance to distance itself from the category, and it’s paying dividends for our brand and our partners,” Casey adds.

The new TCBY store will be owned and operated by Mrs. Fields Famous Brands LLC dba Famous Brands International, the parent company for the TCBY brand that relocated its headquarters from Salt Lake City, Utah to Broomfield, Colorado in July. The company currently occupies the entire 6th floor at Arista Place employing over 35 people.
